About Dana
Many people have shared their experiences what it was like to be with Dana Rolland. I will share mine too.
My dad, Larry Rolland, is Bob’s brother. So I am Dana’s niece by marriage.
Dana. That one word brings tons of memories flooding toward me. All the happy moments I had with her come back to me.
It was kind of hard to spend time with Dana when I was in Columbus. I have two-step-sisters, Jenni and Erin Kesler, and we all wanted to spend time with Dana. I remember a couple moments when neither Jenni nor Erin were around. One of them was sitting on Bob and Dana’s couch, talking with Dana. We talked about almost everything. I loved those moments; we were as close as we could be. We also had special moments on a swing, again talking to each other while petting the dogs, Georgie and Jerry.
Dana didn’t talk to me like I was a kid. She talked to me like I was her age. She was a sweet person, a person you could tell everything. Not many people are like that. The only other grownup woman I can talk to better is my mom.
Whenever Jenni, Erin, and I argued over whose turn it was to sit by her, she never got tired of us. That is what I call patience.
Dana is a woman if you know her, you will NEVER forget her.
